Custom Fitting - Length

Club Length is calculated from several factors:

1. The knuckle-to-floor measurement using the Mizuno Length Chart as a starting point.
2. The player’s posture and address position.
3. The player's ability to square the club face at impact.

   The player’s posture and the ability to square the clubface at impact are vital in judging the shaft length required.

   
   

   Right-Handed players measure left hand, knuckle to floor for starting measurement. Left-Handed players measure right hand, knuckle to floor for starting measurement.

   Custom Fitting - Lie Angle

   The lie angle is the angle created by the shaft and the ground lie when the club head is soled in a way that it touches the ground directly at the centerline of the clubface.

   If a player's lie angles are incorrect it can cause directional problems resulting in inconsistencies and missed greens. However, by hitting off a lie board during the swing a measurement can be made telling the player if his/her clubs are too flat, too upright or correct at impact allowing for a more consistent outcome and a gratifying golf experience.

   Custom Fitting - Loft Angle

   Ball trajectory is the primary influence of loft. This is true in both woods and irons. The correct amount of loft will produce the optimum launch trajectory, spin rate with maximum carry and roll.
   
   
   

   Wood loft is the angle created from the sole to the face, less 90 degrees at a point half up the face.		Iron loft is the angle measured from the center of the hosel to the plane of the face of the club soled level and the face square to the target line.

   
   
   Loft my be the most misunderstood variable when fitting woods. Most people think that clubs with less loft always will hit the ball farther than clubs with more loft. If every golfer had 100 mph swing speeds and no compensating motions then that might be a true statement.
